Breath new life into your Tachometer

Our kits repair failed tachos by replacing the existing electronics with a modern surface mount circuit board. The kits feature our built in push button calibration system and can be used on positive or negative earth vehicles. The standard kits can be calibrated for 4,6 or 8 cylinder engines. We currently supply two different types of Tacho repair kit - EasyFit and UniTacho.

EasyFit Kit

This kit is specifically designed for ease of fitting and fits the majority of Smiths / Jaeger RV and RVI tachos. No soldering is required and it directly replaces the existing circuit board using the same mounting points. A small hole needs to be drilled in the rear of the case for the wire exit - if you prefer not to drill the case then please use our UniTacho kit. Find out more here.

UniTacho Kit

The UniTacho kit fits Smiths / Jaeger RV, RVI and RVC types and most other electronic tachos produced before the early 1980s including ones from VDO and Veglia Borletti etc. It has the advantage of 4 point calibration for greater accuracy and will accept digital signals from an ECU. All of the connections can be made inside the tacho case so the modification is not visible externally. Find out more here.
